Our Story

Sensory Haven was founded when an occupational therapist, Victoria Kieltyka approached two physical therapists, Ashley Kieltyka and Laura Bucci with her passion to bridge the gap between structured therapy and everyday life situations.

After working in a variety of schools, clinics and homecare settings, we noticed caregivers looking for support and children needing a place to spin, climb, swing and be themselves outside of a clinical setting. So, we created Sensory Haven — a space that combines therapeutic intention with the joy of free play, designed for all children, especially those with sensory, motor, or developmental needs. Whether you’re here for therapeutic play, open gym time, or just to connect with other families who “get it,” we’re so glad you found us.

FOUNDER

Dr. Ashley Kieltyka, PT, DPT

Dr. Ashley Kieltyka, PT, DPT, a mother and licensed physical therapist, brings professional expertise and personal passion to Sensory Haven. Ashley has worked closely with children to help them build strength, improve coordination, and achieve confidence. Being a physical therapist since 2015, she has experience with various populations, in multiple settings, including outpatient, school and homecare that guided her interests and desire to provide more to the community.

Ashley was inspired by her own children’s growth and development through interactive and sensory integrated play, along with her professional experience with children. She recognized the crucial role these skills play in child development.  Fueled by these experiences, Ashley, along with her co-founders set out to build a place where families could find connection, and support in a fun and inclusive environment.

Ashley envisioned a space where families could find support, community, and resources tailored to their children’s unique developmental needs. Her mission is to create an environment where children can build confidence, develop motor and sensory skills, and most importantly, have fun.

Her mission is to create a supportive, play-based environment where kids can explore movement, strengthen their bodies, and develop essential sensory and motor skills in a joyful way.
